  • How to come by car

    Request from local police(2024-12-1)
    Every winter, many people drive on roads with normal tires, resulting in numerous slip and get stuck accidents.This causes traffic jams.Please carry studless tires and tire chains from December until the end of March.
    In addition, a park and ride service is available from Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi.The event will run from December 14th to March 31st, 2025.If you are not used to driving on winter roads, please consider this option.(Round trip bus fare: Adults ¥1300, Children ¥600 Parking fee: 1 day ¥1000)




    ＜Tokyo＞
    Kanetsu Kan-Etsu Expressway → Shibukawa-Ikaho IC → Turn left at Koizawa traffic light National Route 17.
    Take National Route 353/145 toward Naganohara → Take National Route 292 to Kusatsu Onsen.

    ＜Nagoya＞
    Take the Joshinetsu Chuo Expressway from Okaya JCT on Nagano Expressway Expressway to Koshoku Koshoku JCT Joshin-Etsu Expressway → Ueda Sugadaira I → National Route 144 towards Naganohara → National Route 292 to Kusatsu Onsen.

    The garden is a parking lot.Please use it for a walk in the town.
    You can leave your car before check-in and after check-out (until 2pm/1030am in winter) on the day of your stay.

    ・Tokyo → Nagano Shinkansen (1 hour 10 minutes) → Karuizawa → Kusatsu Bus / Seibu Kogen Bus (55 minutes to 1 hour 18 minutes) → Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal
    ・Tokyo / Ueno → Joetsu Shinkansen (about 60 minutes) → Takasaki → JR Agatsuma Line (about 1 hour 20 minutes) → Naganohara-Kusatsuguchi Kusatsu Exit → JR Bus (25 minutes) → Kusatsu Onsen Bus Terminal
